Mr Beauregarde

Eugene Beauregarde is the greedy father and talent agent of Violet Beauregarde and is the one behind his daughters competitive and fame hungry behavior. Even in his first appearance Eugene's ego is made clear as he is seen having the Hollywood sign changed to Beauregarde and singing about how brilliant Violet is despite her only talent being chewing gum. in the inventing room Eugene shows just how greedy and selfish he really is first he encourages Violet to chew Wonkas gum despite Wonka's protest and then refuse to help Violet when she begins to swell up instead running away and only really caring about the fact that she can no longer model as a blueberry however Eugene soon shows his truely selfish nature when Violet is presented as a blueberry he greedily calls a magazine intending to proffit from Violets new size and displays no concern for her despite her protests and the Oompa Loompas singing about her impending explosion He only shows concern after Violet explodes and even then it is most likely due to the fact that he may never be able to make money out of her again when violet dies, it is shown that her guts are spilled all over him. Poor thing!! And we can then probably assume that he sued Wonka to get money off of violet despite him only using her for the money and fame.!!!
